our beautiful golden retrievers
All our dogs (and cats) are age appropriately vaccinated and follow routine treatment for flea and worm prevention (again, age specific).
Our pets are all members of our Veterinary Surgerys Healthy Pet Club, meaning they have a routine check up every 6 months, their vaccinations/booster vaccinations every 12 months, and all of their monthly/3 monthly flea and worming treatments are prescribed veterinary grade from the surgery. These include Credelio Plus, Quantex, Milbemax etc., they are prescibed depending on what the vet deemed is most suitable at that time. Also included in this membership are all their vaccinations, including Kennel Cough, so our dogs are always fully vaccinated.
So, in a nutshell, our animals are always fully vaccinated and also follow a routine veterinary treatment for internal and external parasites.
For puppies, flea and worming treatment is different to that of our adult dogs. They are prescribed and treated with a puppy safe worming treatment which we provide you with a record of, ready to pass on to your vet for continuity when they come home with you. It is not recommended to treat puppies under 8 weeks of age for flea treatments. With regards to vaccinations for your new puppy, we can begin the treatments with our vets, but this may differ from the course/treatment that your vet uses. We advise you to check with your new vet to decide whether to begin the vaccination process with our vet or wait and complete it all with your own vet.
